![]() ![]() For all except the Shorty, the variation was one damage every two to three shots, so was probably due to the game rounding the displayed damage to a whole number. The values in the table marked with * varied between shots. For shotguns I aimed above the head and moved my aim down until only one pellet hit. I tested all of the guns, except shotguns, from the same position without adjusting my aim. Methodology: I set the target dummy to 50 m and stood on the rock behind it and shot it in the head from a location where I could see the damage indicator. ![]() The Judge is labelled medium, but its damage reduction is consistent with low-penetration pistols. The Shorty is also low, but it has better penetration than other lows. The Bucky is labelled low, but it has significantly worse penetration than other low guns. In fact it has significantly better wall penetration than the Spectre. The Stinger is labelled low, but it has penetration between low and medium values. The Spectre is labelled medium, but it actually has a 65% damage reduction making it in reality low (credit to u/Miniziggy who has already discovered this). The shotguns and SMGs are different however: Bear in mind that actual damage reduction depends on the thickness of the wall and these numbers are only for my particular test. The slight differences in numbers are probably rounding errors. High wall penetration corresponds to approximately a 23% damage reduction, medium to 43% and low to 65 %. The rifles, machine guns and pistols all behave the same.I initially just wanted to see if the low, medium and high values meant the same thing for all weapons, but I found some interesting inconsistencies among the guns. I tested wall penetration for all of the weapons using the practice range, using the damage displayed by dummy next to the target.
